Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
Add butter to the bacon grease and melt over medium heat.
Pour the egg mixture into the skillet.
Sprinkle the cooked bacon, cheddar cheese, and chives evenly over the eggs.
Cook on the stovetop for 5 minutes until the edges start to set.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the frittata is set and golden on top.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
