Two Keto Dinner Ideas That Are Mouth-Watering

It’s important when we eat that we enjoy the food but that we are satisfied. When you do keto, you can make delicious and tasty meals that satisfy you and these two keto dinner ideas should do just that. When you are starting a new healthy eating plan, you have to have an open mind and get rid of old habits and replace your comfort foods with healthier options.

The great thing about the keto diet is there are tons of great keto dinner ideas and recipes that you can make that you will be excited to try. The staples of a keto diet are healthy fats, protein and most vegetables. Meats are an important part of the keto diet so we can start there since so many people are already familiar with them.

You can enjoy most meats while following a keto lifestyle, including seafood. When going for a healthier option of eating, you should learn how to cook with natural herbs and spices to replace the chemicals and additives that are in so much of the processed foods available. One such meal is garlic rosemary pork chops. Here are two keto dinner ideas that are healthy, easy to make and quite delicious.

Garlic Rosemary Pork Chops

Start off with a nice, thick bone-in pork chop. This allows for a perfect sear while preventing the meat from getting tough. Start with a hot oven-safe skillet and cook pork chops on one side until it gets a beautiful golden crust which takes approximately four minutes and then, flip and sear the other side the same. Brush the chops with the garlic rosemary butter.

  • 4 Pork loin chops
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon minced fresh rosemary
  • 2 Cloves of minced garlic
  • 1/2 Cup melted butter
  • 1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Using a small bowl, mix the butter, garlic and rosemary. This is what you brush the chops with after searing.
  • Place in the preheated oven and cook for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Use a meat thermometer to make sure the pork is thoroughly cooked. It should be at 140 to 150 degrees and make sure that there is no pink.
  • Brush with more of the butter right before serving.

Cheesy Bacon Ranch Chicken

For a quick and easy weeknight meal, you have to try these delicious cheesy bacon ranch chicken breasts.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Slices bacon (thick-cut)
  • 4 Boneless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 Teaspoons dry ranch dressing or seasoning
  • 1 and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • Chives chopped for a garnish

Directions:

  • It’s best to use a cast iron skillet for all of your frying. Start with cooking the bacon over medium heat for approximately 4 minutes on each side.
  • Drain most of the bacon grease leaving 2 tablespoons in the skillet to fry the chicken breasts over medium heat.
  • Add salt and pepper to the chicken and cook for 6 minutes on each side. The chicken will be golden brown.
  • You will now reduce the heat to medium and sprinkle dry ranch dressing or seasoning and then add the mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover until cheese melted and then add the crumbled bacon and sprinkle with chives.
